FURTHER ENCOURAGING IRON RESULTS FROM CAMEROON

Toronto, (July 7th, 2009) - African Aura Resources Ltd. ("African Aura" or the "Company", TSX-V: AAZ), an exploration company with iron, gold and uranium exploration activities in Cameroon and Liberia, announces that it has received further encouraging iron reconnaissance results in southern Cameroon.

• Two further significant iron rich prospects confirmed proximal to Nkout
• Ngoa Hill samples assay up to 69% Fe averaging 62% Fe
• Akom Hills samples assay up to 65% Fe averaging 54% Fe
• Project strategically located 150km northwest of 2.4 Bt Mbalam deposit

Positive assay results from Ngoa and Akom (satellite prospects to Nkout)
Pursuant to the News Release of June 10th, 2009, the Company is pleased to report further encouraging assays returned from mapping and reconnaissance sampling of Itabarite / banded iron formations ("BIF") conducted over the Ngoa Hill and Akom Hills, prospects located in the Essong and Akonolinga licences respectively.

The Ngoa and Akom prospects are located respectively 3km south and 85km northwest of the Company's Nkout iron prospect (Figure 3) which itself comprises a 12km, east-west striking discontinuous ridge from which reconnaissance sampling returned assay results up to 68% Fe and averaging 55% Fe.

The samples were taken under the direction of GT Exploration Services of South Africa who were contracted to conduct a mapping and sampling programme across all three prospects. A total of 341 samples of both Itabarite / BIF and granite-gneiss country rocks were taken during the programme - only those that displayed Itabarite / BIF characteristics were sent for assay.

The assays of 23 Itabarite / BIF samples taken during this phase of reconnaissance confirm the presence of high grade iron bearing rocks at Ngoa Hill returning a maximum grade of 69% Fe, and an average of 62% Fe. As previously reported, Ngoa is approximately 2km long and rises to 300m above datum with flanks that are strewn with a high proportion of enriched Itabarite / BIF float.
